We all have a voice
if we allow it to speak.
Joanna Gilbert graduated in 2018 with a Masters in Fine Art from UAL Chelsea College of Arts where she was awarded a distinction for her ‘NOTHING TO BUY’ body of work.
It was during her Masters and reaching some of the lowest points of her life, she found an invincible strength within her.
In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.
By Albert Camus, French Philosopher
Bold and beautiful large-scale abstract pieces ooze visceral energy. They show freedom in all its forms, endless potential and limitless thinking; it's as if Joanna has shed an old skin that she had been hiding behind for many years before finally emerging whole like never before: fearless and free!
Joanna is represented by Avivson Gallery in London and internationally by Renko London and Linda Blackstone Gallery. She also has an agent, Artiq who place her art in offices and hotels around the UK and Europe.
To discuss a commission of a specific enquiry please email Joanna directly.
I am grateful to finally have my language,
my message and my freedom.
