It's Ok to Be Vulnerable: The Artist's Role in Exposing Themselves
What does it mean to be vulnerable in a world that is constantly judging you?
I am an abstract artist, and I constantly expose my work (and my soul) to the public. My paintings are judged in seconds - milliseconds even.
It used to take a lot to feel comfortable in exposing my vulnerability, because society conditions us to constantly be afraid of being judged. But if we embrace our vulnerability, we show humility and it allows us to be able to connect with others on a deeper level.
I have found that being vulnerable is my greatest strength. It allows me to be fearless in the way I create art, and it encourages others to do so too.
So don't fight your vulnerability - embrace it!
Let’s connect on a deeper level! This will allow us all to experience joy.
